Dr. Steve S. Spector is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He served as the vice president of the medical staff at JFK Hospital and chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at JFK Hospital and Humana Hospital.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Spector earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering and a Masters of Nuclear Engineering Sciences (M.S.N.E.S.) at the University of Florida. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1975. This was followed by a medical/surgical internship, an ophthalmology residency and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Spector maintains active surgical staff privileges at the following hospitals:
